Taking Your SEC Examination Preparatory Course<\/h1>\n

The Singapore-Cambridge Secondary Education Certificate (SEC) (2027 onwards) Examination is conducted in Singapore annually (October\/November).<\/p>\n

It is jointly examined and awarded by the Singapore Examinations and Assessment Board (SEAB), Ministry of Education (MOE) and the Cambridge International Education.<\/p>\n

Candidates\u2019 applications to sit the examination are accepted on the condition that they adhere to all the regulations governing the examination.<\/p>\n

The Preparatory Course For Singapore-Cambridge Secondary Education Certificate (SEC) Examination conducted by SmartLab Education Private School is available to Singapore Citizens, Singapore Permanent Residence and International students holding a valid and appropriate pass.<\/p>\n

What the full-time course includes<\/strong><\/h1>\n

This programme is wholly delivered in Singapore.<\/p>\n

The maximum class size is 18 (Bishan Centre) \/ 8 (Marine Parade Centre-Small Group Programme), with an average teacher-to-student ratio of 1:7.<\/p>\n

Each 10-month course includes lectures, interactive discussions and group tasks, which are conducted daily in our classrooms. For certain subjects such as pure\/combined science, it also includes practical experiments, which take place in our laboratory.<\/p>\n

You will complete practice tests to prepare for your formal assessments. Occasionally, you may be invited to take part in educational field trips, excursions or inter-class competitions.
Resources and materials will be provided for you, including subject past exam papers and supplementary notes. You will also have access to the SmartLab library.<\/p>\n

After completing and passing your SEC examination, you may be able to \u2026<\/p>\n

1) Enrol in a local junior college or centralised institute for a 2\/3-year course to take your GCE A Level examinations (min. five G3 subjects required)<\/p>\n

2) Enrol in a local polytechnic for a 3-year diploma course<\/p>\n

3) Enrol in a local Institute of Technical Education (ITE) to gain a National ITE Certificate (Nitec)<\/p>\n
